Tuesday Tip for 7-21-09

We are where we are today as a result of the actions we took in our past.  Question is, are you satisfied, if not start working on your tomorrows, today.

Anything that requires attention will improve with attention.  Just as muscle increases with exercise, shrinks with inaction. 

Presentations are much more effective in person than over the telephone, or any other media. E-mail, direct mail, use those to set up in person meetings.  Internet, use a combination, possibly including video.

Determine who to keep in your business by separating those who act on what they learn from those who don’t.  People who will act are the doers, the leaders.

If someone can make you mad or negative, they control you. You can’t control what other people say or do, but you can and must control your reactions.

Remember, Promote Yourself!

Here are this weeks tips.

Find an accountability partner! Every person, no matter how motivated they are, needs to be held accountable by somebody other than themselves. 

Be your business! If you’re not eating, sleeping, drinking, and thinking about what you do for a living every day, it will take a long time for you to get really good at it.  The longer it takes you to get good at it, the greater likelihood you will not stay long enough to see the success you desire.

Know your target market! You will not make money trying to sell to the wrong people, nor will you be successful trying to recruit the wrong people.  

Remember Promote Yourself!
