This week’s T-N-T!  To help you explode your business. March 9, 2010

Tuesday Networker Tip

There are certain truths about failure that successful people seem to grasp and unsuccessful people have trouble with:

A certain amount of failure is inevitable and acceptable, especially in a new endeavor. It comes with the territory, don’t let it stop you.

Always make success your primary goal.  Loose the negative self-talk!

Everyone fails at some point.  Even if it is your fault, don’t let it bother you too much, learn and move on!

Certain rewards are hidden in your failures. Remember your errors and learn from them. When your subordinates fail, remember that you have failed, also.

When you do fail, your future successes will feel even more significant.

It’s better to fail in the pursuit of something magnificent than to succeed at something that has little meaning.  Don’t be afraid of big goals!

Failure happens but is not destined. Give it your best shot, and keep going!

This week’s T-N-T!  To help you explode your business.

Tuesday Networker Tips

Slow down, concentrate. If you really want to get good at something, take your time, think about it, study, and then implement gradually

Worrying is a senseless waste of time. You can either solve a problem or not. Luckily, most problems can be solved, become not only a problem solver but anticipate the problems.

A person who is working a business and not getting referrals is not giving enough care to the people who can give referrals, or they are simply not asking for referrals.

Before doing on a presentation, mentally prepare yourself by role-playing in your head the possible different outcomes and how you can handle each of them.

You want to be successful? Know what you want. Find out what it takes to get it.
Be relentless in your pursuit of it.

This week’s T-N-T!  To help you explode your business.

Tuesday Networker Tips

Be prepared!  If you don’t know what you’re going to say before you meet a serious and qualified prospect, an otherwise easy sale can easily turn disastrous.

Learn a new skill.  The more you master a skill, the more opportunities you get to use it.

Keep your mind open!  You may be amazed by the powers available to us if we don’t limit our thinking.

Even if a product is good enough to “sell itself” it will not! People still need to know about it in order to buy it.
Find a person with a problem that your product or service solves, and then you have a prospect.  No problem, no desire to solve the problem.

This week’s T-N-T!  To help you explode your business.

Tuesday Networker Tips

Communicating with people.  That is what we get paid to do, just this one thing, will determine 95% of your paycheck.

When you are speaking to a prospect or client, do not make it seem as though you are desperate.  If they feel that you desperately need them,
that will put them in a position of power.  Instead, the prospect should be made to feel as though you are interviewing him, doing him a favor.  You are looking for specific qualities, such as honesty, dependability, and willingness to be coached.

When using mass media, take the time to get your message or advertisement right.  You can adapt one form of media to many others, That letter that you’re sending out, the PPC ad on google, radio or TV, teleseminar and your website.  They will give the same message every time it always is consistent, and it always delivers exactly what it’s been told to.
As you go about your day, notice how often you think about situations in a win-lose rather than win-win scenario.  If you look for win-win answers you will usually find that it is actually better for long term business.

This week’s T-N-T!  To help you explode your business.

Tuesday Networker Tips

If you’re good at numbers, you can make almost anything sound good.  Make sure you are accurate.

Sometimes the only thing that holds a business back is management  being
afraid to let somebody go, that needs to be let go.

The pain of hearing “No” goes away after you’ve heard it about a thousand times.

All things being equal, a prospect will say no before he says yes. Don’t ask questions that can be answered with a simple yes or no.

The single most important element in marketing or a sales presentation is
credibility.

It’s great to have a positive attitude  just don’t go overboard; some people just don’t want to hear it, even if they need it most.

Look for the humor or anything positive in difficult situations, it is usually there.

People will always talk about other people, including you. Take it with a grain of salt. You’re not quite as good, or as bad as they say.

Learning to deal with rejection, disappointments and other setbacks are good training for when you move into management.

You cannot be dependent on other people to provide you with a steady supply of willing and able buyers of your product or service. Learn to generate leads yourself!

This weeks T-N-T  to help you explode your business.  ( Tuesday’s Networking Tips )

By coming on too strong or insincere in a presentation you may arouse fear, anger and even distrust, making it almost impossible to repair the damage and have a successful presentation.

Every word we use will create images in the minds of the people we speak with, choose your words carefully as those images can either help or hurt.

Sometimes, it can be very effective to refuse to give someone a presentation when they are expecting one.  This will create curiosity and anticipation, never give a presentation on first contact.

Business seminars and conferences have little value themselves. The value is seriously  applying what you learn to what you want to accomplish.

Step by step! Don’t look at doing a project or business as the whole thing at once, think step by step.  Little steps laid out will get you there.  “Rome was not built in a day”.

Tuesday’s Networkers Tips

Don’t let your pride get in the way. It only takes a moment to apologize so that a relationship that might otherwise have been destroyed for a lifetime can continue to grow

One of the hardest things about being successful is finding people who say they are happy for you and they really mean it!

Don’t be inflexible. When things are not going your way, it’s time to change direction.  Change can propel you.

When you are talking with prospects, don’t talk about what you think is important. Talk about what THEY think is important.  They want to know ‘what’s in it for me?’

When someone says they don’t have any problems, you know they have have a big problem.

Networking Tips 12-16

December 16th, 2009

There is no real competition in most home businesses because most of those people are playing, “follow the follower”. Instead of following a proven leader, or becoming the leader themselves

It’s easier to inspire a group of people than it is a single individual.

If everybody you talk with buys your product or joins your business, you are NOT talking to enough people.

You can easily gain and maintain control of a conversation or presentation when you know how to ask good questions.  The type of questions that are designed to lead people in a specific direction.

Nothing can take the place of experience. If reading a book, going to a seminar or listening to a CD was all that we needed to be successful, then we would be earning a very small wage.

Tuesday Tips 12-1

November 30th, 2009

This week’s generic tips for Networking Professionals.

Ideas, business strategies and concepts can be deceptive and misleading. Test them on a small scale before rolling them out on a large scale.

Prospects are usually ready to initially pounce on you and say no. In the beginning of your sales call, ask a few questions that are designed to get them to say yes.

A good way to get a prospect to open up is to use the ‘echo’ method.  Simply repeat the last three or four words they say.  This will show that you are listening and will prompt them to open up further.

A powerful force in selling is the ability to get others to do it for you.  Preferably the person you are selling to.

The moment a man opens his mouth and begins to talk he reveals to the world who he is and where he belongs
