Tuesday Networker Tip

There is a time for asking questions and there is a time for talking. There is a very important difference, knowing when to do each can make all the difference in your career.

If you really want to get depressed get around a bunch of unsuccessful people, always try to be a person others want to be with - for the right reasons

When things are not going your way, stop and get your bearings, it’s probably time to change direction.

Selling, in a nutshell is nothing more than getting other people to see what you see as well as you see it.

If you don’t want to fail, don’t try!  You will never fail at any business you never try.

Stop seeking the approval of other people!  Most people are so afraid of a prospect, friend or family member telling them NO, that they freeze up and basically choose failure instead of success.

Productivity vs.  Activity.  If you spend more of your time on activities such as checking email every 20 minutes, instead of productivity, actually focusing on Revenue Producing Activities you’ll get to a point that you can become stagnant in your business.

Nothing will stimulate and excite your imagination like an idea that has begun to manifest it’s self into reality.

Have you ever noticed that sometimes after successfully reaching a business goal, there seems to be a letdown within you? That’s because the real fun takes place in the challenge of the journey reaching that goal.  Keep your goals fresh!

The real advantage to giving the same sales presentation over and over is that your prospects become predictable, and when they are predictable, you can be better prepared for anything they will ask you.

Tuesday Networker Tips

Communicating with people.  That is what we get paid to do, just this one thing, will determine 95% of your paycheck.

When you are speaking to a prospect or client, do not make it seem as though you are desperate.  If they feel that you desperately need them,
 that will put them in a position of power.  Instead, the prospect should be made to feel as though you are interviewing him, doing him a favor.  You are looking for specific qualities, such as honesty, dependability, and willingness to be coached.

When using mass media, take the time to get your message or advertisement right.  You can adapt one form of media to many others, That letter that you’re sending out, the PPC ad on google, radio or TV, teleseminar and your website.  They will give the same message every time it always is consistent, and it always delivers exactly what it’s been told to.
As you go about your day, notice how often you think about situations in a win-lose rather than win-win scenario.  If you look for win-win answers you will usually find that it is actually better for long term business.

Tuesday Networker Tips

When a successful person enters the room, he projects a powerful energyregardless of how he is dressed, what he says, or what he does.  

Don’t just read a good self-help book once.  You may be inspired, but read it
over and over, study it and master it. These books are resources!  When possible get the book on audio also.

The more needs a qualified prospect expresses to you, the better the chances are of getting them to do business with you.

Make the commitment that you are going to build a referral only business, or at least primarily referrals.

If you think a prospect might object to part of your presentation, don’t wait for them, bring the objection up before he does and present it as a benefit.

If you’re good at numbers, you can make almost anything sound good.  Make sure you are accurate.

Sometimes the only thing that holds a business back is management  being
afraid to let somebody go, that needs to be let go.

The pain of hearing “No” goes away after you’ve heard it about a thousand times.

All things being equal, a prospect will say no before he says yes. Don’t ask questions that can be answered with a simple yes or no.

The single most important element in marketing or a sales presentation is  
credibility.

It’s great to have a positive attitude  just don’t go overboard; some people just don’t want to hear it, even if they need it most.

Look for the humor or anything positive in difficult situations, it is usually there.

People will always talk about other people, including you. Take it with a grain of salt. You’re not quite as good, or as bad as they say.

Learning to deal with rejection, disappointments and other setbacks are good training for when you move into management.

You cannot be dependent on other people to provide you with a steady supply of willing and able buyers of your product or service. Learn to generate leads yourself!

By coming on too strong or insincere in a presentation you may arouse fear, anger and even distrust, making it almost impossible to repair the damage and have a successful presentation.

Every word we use will create images in the minds of the people we speak with, choose your words carefully as those images can either help or hurt.

Sometimes, it can be very effective to refuse to give someone a presentation when they are expecting one.  This will create curiosity and anticipation, never give a presentation on first contact.

Business seminars and conferences have little value themselves. The value is seriously  applying what you learn to what you want to accomplish.

Step by step! Don’t look at doing a project or business as the whole thing at once, think step by step.  Little steps laid out will get you there.  “Rome was not built in a day”.

Tuesday Tips 12-1

This week’s generic tips for Networking Professionals.

Ideas, business strategies and concepts can be deceptive and misleading. Test them on a small scale before rolling them out on a large scale.

Prospects are usually ready to initially pounce on you and say no. In the beginning of your sales call, ask a few questions that are designed to get them to say yes.

A good way to get a prospect to open up is to use the ‘echo’ method.  Simply repeat the last three or four words they say.  This will show that you are listening and will prompt them to open up further.

A powerful force in selling is the ability to get others to do it for you.  Preferably the person you are selling to.

The moment a man opens his mouth and begins to talk he reveals to the world who he is and where he belongs

Tips 11-3

Tell people what they’re going to learn from you; teach them; remind them what you’ve taught them.

When you get rejected and humiliated by prospects, it is actually good training, it helps you be a better trainer and coach.

A sales script is merely words in print until it has been tested in the real world.

When marketing your business you will encounter people who complain to you. Thank them for their complaint; let them know they just improved your business by bringing this issue to your attention.

If you want to be a good leader, sometimes you have to be tough. You must hold your people accountable. You must expect certain things from them, if they are not performing let them know.

This week’s generic tips for Networkers!

The most powerful marketing tool in business is credibility.  One of the best ways to build credibility is to get testimonials.  One of the easiest ways to get testimonials is to simply ask for them.  Most people are happy to give a good testimonial…if they are satisfied!

Want to know a fast way to build a business? Consistently get in front of people, including large audiences.

The most common mistakes made in building a business are not qualifying and overselling.  Not everybody will be interested, those that are will sell themselves, if they need more info, they will ask.

Even more important than making money and helping other people is taking care of your own health.

Without accurate information we cannot make wise choices or good business decisions.  Always strive to get AND give accurate information.
