So, You Are New to Orange Leads, Now What? Top 5 Things To Do

Let me preface this post by saying these are my opinions only and it is not meant to be an exhaustive list, but rather a beginning. It is my hope that many of you will post comments with additional ideas and ways you have found Orange Leads beneficial in growing your home based business.

So, you are new to Orange Leads, now what? Here are the top 5 things you should do right away: (This assumes you have already watched Tim’s video in the top right hand corner.)

-1. From the Main Control Panel. make a post (with your link) in the box that asks: What Are You Doing With Your Business Opportunity Now?
-2. From the Main Control Panel, scroll down and set up your downline ad.
-3. Scroll down a little further and place your top ad
-4. From the Site Navigation Menu, select Edit Your Orange Leads Account, fill in everything you possibly can on your own.
-5. Begin networking in the live chat room and ask any questions you may still have there.

OK, that is it in a nut shell. Now let’s take closer look at each one of these.

-1. The reason you want to do this first is that it immediately puts content on your Orange Leads Home Page. When ever you make a post in the - What Are You Doing With Your Business Opportunity Now? - box on the control panel, it also posts to your home page. This is important because Tim has it set up to drive traffic to your home page for you from both inside and outside of Orange Leads. You don’t want someone to visit you Home Page and have it be blank. We will talk more about additional Home Page content in step 4. For now, you can quickly have at least one post up and include a link to your website.

-2. Your downline ad is a permanent ad that will be seen by anyone you recruit into Orange Leads every time they log in to the control panel. You want to have this in place right away, before you start promoting you orange leads affiliate links. This will put you front and center in front of a captive audience as you grow your orange leads downline.

-3. Don’t miss this one. You can place a Top Ad once per day and you should do it EVERY day. It takes seconds, yet I am amazed at how few people actually do it. This is one of the most powerful features of Orange Leads. Not only are there lots of entrepreneurs on this web site, there are also a lot of people looking for a new business or additional tools to enhance an existing business. Tim is a master at driving targeted traffic to the site and the proof is in the numbers. Orange Leads is in the top 1% of Alexa ratings, which means it gets more traffic than 99% of all websites world wide. Wow! Let that sink in for a minute. Why would you not take advantage of putting your ad in front of that kind of traffic for free, every day? If you do nothing else, take two minutes a day and do this.

-4. This is also a key step. You want to present a professional image, so set aside a little time to work on this. From the Edit Your Orange Leads Account area, you can add your picture, set up your Shameless Promo and Cool Website link. These are critical to your success in the next step, as every time to make a post in live chat, this info will show up next to each and every post. If you have read the Golden Chat Rules, you understand that you can’t just promote your business and post links at will in chat. (See earlier post.) If you are conversational in chat and are helpful to new members, you will get a surprising amount of traffic to your Shameless Promo and Cool Web Site link.

Another key area to focus on in the Edit Your Orange Leads Account is the About Me section. What you put here will show up on your Orange Leads Home Page. You will notice that there are two boxes, one for HTML and one for plain text. You should use both. Keep in mind that everything you put here is searchable by google. You can also promote an outside entrance to your Orange Leads Home Page for the general public.

-5. A key benefit to Orange Leads is the chance to network with other like minded entrepreneurs. You will make new life long friends from all over the world and learn all kinds of things you didn’t even know you needed to know. There are some very savvy internet marketers that frequent the chat room so get to know them, they are more than willing to help you. People like Dave Granz, James Lawson, Jamie Houston, Chuck Ellison, John Ahrends, Jesper Seest Mogensen . . . . I could go on and on - are invaluable resources for you. Tim is also frequently in live chat and is very accessible. We can all learn from watching him. I know I have a lot to learn about online marketing and I don’t know of a better teacher than Timothy L. Drobnick Sr..

There you have it, my top 5 list for getting started in Orange Leads. That is just the tip of the ice burg though. Take some time to review all of the links in the site navigation menu. Start using the iHid.us URL shortener for all your links, everywhere - and track them. Set up your TweetPosts, start promoting your Affiliate Links and banners, etc.. Take a look at the new two tier OogAds and Portal Director opportunity. It costs you nothing to promote these and could potentially add a life time residual income stream to your portfolio. As time permits, I will eventually do a post for advanced Orange Leads users. Oh, and don’t forget . . . you have an unlimited supply of free business opportunity leads!

If you are not actively using twitter marketing strategies you are missing the boat. Tim has made it super easy to automate the process with TweePosts so there is really no reason to miss out on the action. You do have to be a member of Orange Leads to use the service and it is free to join. Paid members do get a higher limit on posts.

You may wonder why you would want to grow your Orange Leads when you already have a primary business you are working. The reason is simple; when someone signs up through one of your affiliate links you now have a permanent ad in the first position on the control panel right next to where they will go to get their free leads. That means every time they log in to get free leads, you are front and center right in front of them presenting your opportunity. You could not be positioned in front a more qualified prospect, in my opinion. This is someone who is already working online, they have enough initiative to at least be looking for leads and they have shown themselves as a person of action by actually signing up for Orange Leads to begin with. Studies have shown that the same behavior is likely to be repeated. So why not have their next business venture be with you?

If you have a product or service that is in demand, fills a need and can be used by any small business owner to grow their existing business, even better! I am fortunate to be in this situation with my SendOutCards business and I have had hundreds of OL members subscribe to the Referral Marketing Newsletter. Many people come here just for the free business opportunity leads and miss the fact that this is a powerhouse advertising site as well. It is a beehive of entrepreneurs attracted by the honey of free leads. I have heard many say they get more business from networking and advertising on this site than on any other, myself included.

So be sure to set up your down line permanent ad on the control panel, be sure to place a top ad once a day, every day, and use TweetPosts to drive traffic and grow your business. There are lots of successful home based business owners still paying hundreds of dollars for same leads they can get here for free. So spread the word, and bring on the masses!
