No matter what the economy is, down or up, no matter what the market is, Bull or Bear,
small local businesses always need special help to get more customers because of
their limited resources.
Unlike gigantic national chain stores who usually have access to millions or billions
of dollars even if they are losing money in bad times, small local stores cannot
afford to work in a negative cash flow and many times will cut back on advertising
dollars when sales slow down.
But when sales are down businesses need to advertise even more. Big businesses
do this because stock holders or investors allow the business to post a large
loss in order to gain customers for future profits.
So what can the small business without large investors and tons of cash reserves do?
They can get smarter and more efficient with their marketing, and this is where
your business opportunity comes to life.
I need to educate you just a tiny bit about some business fundamentals.
If you take a walk down any street or shopping center that has a lot of small shops
you can quite accurately assume that very few of them are grossing less than
$100,000 a year in sales. Most restaurants, including fast food chains, must
gross at least 1 million dollars annually or they have to shut the doors.
Unless you have run a small shop you probably are shocked to hear this, but
this is important for you to understand.
Look inside a shop and just think about the money that has to be coming thru
the doors just for them to stay open. Do you see 3 employees working?
Then even at minimum wage with taxes they are costing the business over
$50,000.00 per year.
Do you see the inventory? Is there about 1 million dollars worth?
The interest on the loan from the bank for this inventory is costing
them about $70,000.00 per year or more.
How about the rent on the building? Probably about $25,000 to $75,000
per year. How about the utilities, parking lot maintenance,
insurance, accounting, lawyers, cleaning service, light bulbs,
displays, signs, banners, and more?
You can assume a small shop like this has basic costs of no less than
$150,000 per year. These are all called fixed costs which means
whether or not the business makes any sales at all they still have
to pay these expenses.
Now let's assume the business has a gross profit margin of 33%, which
is average for retail. (Restaurants have a much higher gross profit margin).
That means this business, not counting advertising,
has to gross at least $600,000 per year just to keep the doors
open.
(In other words all sales are $600,000.00. The products cost the store
$402,000.00 leaving $198,000.00 left over to pay the $150,000.00 fixed costs
and all the other variable costs of operating the business.)
Advertising budgets for all businesses are different, but you can
easily assume that a business that is grossing $600,000.00 per
year is spending $30,000 per year on some type of marketing or
advertising. That means the owner of this business at this level has
a $0 profit, they are just at the break even point.
But a business owner is not in business just for fun, or to just make a pay check, they
want to make a large profit so they can save money for expanding their business,
and be able to retire someday, or at least do better than working for someone else.
So as you can see when I say very few businesses do less than $100,000
per year and 1 million per year is common, that I am not stretching
the truth, and now you have been educated just a bit on fundamentals
so you can more intelligently deal with local business owners.
Now back to how we can help these businesses improve their marketing
whether the economy is, down or up, or whether the market is, Bull or Bear,
The best type of marketing, any business will admit, is word of mouth.
Businesses also know it is very expensive to find new customers and it
is much more efficient to keep your current customer's longer.
My new invention called Retail Bucks will do this for small businesses,
and it will only cost them $200.00 per year.
Now with what you know about the basic business fundamentals I have
taught you, you can see that $200.00 per year is nothing at all for
a business to spend on marketing.
In most cases, if a small store gains just 1 more customer it will more
than pay them back the $200.00 they are going to spend on Retail Bucks.
Have you ever been to one of these large chain stores that give you
a plastic card to either go in your purse, billfold, or a very small
one that fits on your key chain, which you then show them each time
you shop?
The large stores use these to give you a reward for shopping there.
They hope it will help you to return more often and to purchase more.
They know that it is very expensive to find new customers so it is
much cheaper for them to give away some rewards, such as discounts
or future spending credits for their store in order to keep you
from leaving them as a customer.
This rewards system works. That is why so many large chain stores
use them.
However, small stores cannot participate with this type of service
because it is very very expensive to install and purchase software,
computers, and print the magnetic cards to give out to all their
customers to handle such a system.
Imagine that a small store could get a system like this without spending
the big bucks, AND, get a system that goes EVEN one step further?
Imagine a system where the customer is rewarded for shopping and
given incentive to keep returning and spending more, BUT also
the customers are rewarded for sending in their friends.
When a store is part of the Retail Bucks program, their customers
can participate and get a percentage of all their purchases in
Retail Bucks that they can spend on future visits.
When these customer's refer their friends to the store they also
earn a percentage of the purchases their friends make in Retail
Bucks.
Until now many small stores try to use a punch card reward system,
where for each purchase at the store they make a punch in the card
and when the customer gets up to 10 to 15 punches, they get something
free, usually amounting to about 5 or 10% of the total previous
purchases.
However, the customer has to remember to bring in the card, and many
do not. Also this does not give the customer incentive to refer
friends to the store.
With retail bucks the store owner or clerk simply puts in the email
address of their customer when they make a purchase, into the
Retail Bucks website, and the sale is automatically tracked for
both the customer and the store owner. No need for the customer
to remember to bring a punch card with them to the store.
The customer at their leisure at home can log into the Retail Bucks
website to see how many Retail Bucks they have earned for each
of the stores they shop at.
In addition they can find more stores offering Retail Bucks from
the website, in case they want to participate with other stores.
And while on the website the customer can refer friends by simply
adding their name and email address.
If their friends then decide to shop at that store, Retail Bucks
are earned by both the customer that referred them, and the friend
that is shopping at the store.
And it is all automatically calculated and totaled on the website.
The store owner decides what percentage of the purchases they will
allow to go towards Retail Bucks.
If the store owner allows 5% for the person shopping, and then 5%
for the person that referred the shopper, the store would be allowing
10% of all purchases to go towards retail bucks.
And here is a bit of another lesson with business fundamentals.
When this 10% is redeemed at the store with the REtail Bucks,
it does not really cost the store owner 10%.
If the store owner's gross margin of profit is 33%, then the
Retail Bucks only cost the store about 7% of gross sales.
If the store owner's gross margin of profit is 50%, then the
Retail Bucks only cost the store about 5% of gross sales.
The store owner can decide on what percentage they are comfortable with.

Step by step instructions on giving away free trials, presenting Retail Bucks to local businesses, and how to get literature to help you promote Retail Bucks.
What I am about to tell you here can make or break your business. Its very important that you understand the concept here.
Step 1 is how to introduce yourself to the business.
Please, pay attention to what I am about to say.
Business owners and employees HATE to be interrupted from their work. So don't do it.
Take a half page flyer I gave you into a local business. Get the flyer from #2 above.
Make sure your Orange Leads ID and
contact information is on the flyer.
With the flyer in your hand, and holding it up about face level, announce this,
"Hi I don't want to interrupt you I just want to leave this flyer, is that ok?"
When they say yes, and 99% of the time they will, tell them, my name is ______
and my contact information is on the bottom of the flyer.
Could you please let the business owner know that this is for a free trial for a
customer rewards system designed to get you more customers?
Please tell them to contact _______ if they need help creating their free trial."
And that is all you have to do. Now at this point several things may happen. The
employee/owner may just take the flyer and say thank you and then you are done.
If that is the case leave.
However, the employee/owner may have some questions. If they ask you a question
this is an invitation to talk to them more. You then say,
"I would be glad to answer your question, assuming I am not interrupting your business"
When you do this you again confirm that you respect their time.
Answer their question, and find out if this is the owner or employee.
As soon as you can answer their questions then YOU ASK A QUESTION ABOUT THEIR BUSINESS.
Business owners love to talk about their business. Everyone likes to talk about themselves.
This is important as it is crucial that you make a personal, friendly, and professional connection.
This is the end of step 1. It is crucial you follow every small nuance of this tutorial I have given
you in step 1. Dont' take it lightly.
Step 2: Giving out the free trial.
Sometimes the business owner will create a free trial after you have left the flyer and left the business.
Sometimes the business owner will let you create the free trial FOR them after you have been
INVITED into a conversation.
Sometimes you will need to stop back into the store a few days later and ask permission to set up
the free trial for them.
You can find out who has or has not created a free trial when you get home in the evening and check
your online account. For more information on that from the main menu listen to the extension titled:
"How do you see how many free trials have been activated and How do you see who has purchased a retail bucks account?"
Step 3: Getting the sale.
Sometimes the business owner will make the purchase during the free trial while you are no where around, and
after you have left the business.
Sometimes the business owner will purchase the Retail Bucks account while you are there and after you have been
INVITED into a conversation.
Sometimes you will need to stop back into the store a few days later and ask if they have more questions
about Retail Bucks, after they have finished their free trial.
You can find out who has or has not purchased a Retail Bucks account when you get home in the evening and check
your online account. For more information on that from the main menu listen to the extension titled:
"How do you see how many free trials have been activated and How do you see who has purchased a retail bucks account?"
As soon as the store owner purchases the Account via Alertpay, you will be paid your commission within 24 hours, usually
within the very same day.

How to become a Sales Manager. You will need to be a Premium or Gold Orange Leader before you can become a sales manager.
I won't say it is easy to become a sales manager, however, it is simple.
You will get paid for recruiting and training salespeople to sell Retail Bucks
each time they make a sale.
If your salesperson makes a sale for $199.70 you get a commission of
$40.00 sent to you the same day via Alertpay. If they use the $19.97
per month option you will get $4.00 per month, the same day we receive
the $19.97 payment.
If the business continues to renew their membership you will continue
to get paid annually or monthly for years to come, until they quit
paying.
If you recruit and train 10 salespeople who each make 2 sales per
day for the annual payment, your salespeople will be earning $800.00 per week
and your commissions will be $4000.00 per week.
There is no limit to how many salespeople you can recruit and train, and there
is no restriction to where. Recruit as many salespeople world wide as you
like.
To make sure that correct information is provided for all Retail
Bucks salespeople please send them to this recording for training,
by putting this toll free number, at no expense to you, in the
advertisement: 1(866)571-1602
Be SURE to put your Orange Leads ID into the advertisement so
that they will be signed up under you when they join here. You
can also provide another website if you prefer, but many
newspapers will not allow you to do that since they see the
internet as their competition.
Using the toll free number is the surest way to get past the
newspaper's watchful eye on banning their competition from
advertising.

How to place advertisements for recruiting sales people.
Over the last 20 years, I have run more than 100,000 classified ads for recruiting
salespeople in newspapers all over the USA. You can take advantage of
my experience and save yourself quite a bit of money and time.
Here are some things I have learned over the years:
1. Display advertising for recruiting salespeople is a big waste of money. Dont' do it. Use classified advertising only.
2. 3 or 4 line classified advertisement will out pull a 6 or bigger line classified consistently.
3. Free small weekly newspapers thrown at people's homes will usually get more calls than the expensive metropolitan daily newspaper.
4. If an ad will not get response on the first day, its not going to do any better running it many more days.
Then newspaper will tell you to run the advertisement at least 3 days to get good results. This is an out and out bold faced lie.
5. If you run a classified in a daily newspaper that runs 7 days per week, place an advertisement only on the Sunday newspaper.
Unlike all other days of the week the Sunday advertisment will get you phone calls all week long.
6. Most people that look at Sunday advertisements will not call you until Monday and later through out the week. Very few if
any will call you on a Sunday.
7. If you want to run a 5 line or less advertisement in the USA today newspaper on a Friday, you can expect about 200 to 400 phone
calls. The advertisement will cost you about $400.00. Friday is the best because it is in the stands all weekend.
8. Always use a phone number with a voice mail message to explain the opportunity, and then at the end of the message
give them the real way to contact you personally. This will save you a ton of time.
9. In the advertisement include the words "24 hour recorded message" to increase your response.
10. Do not include a website in your advertisement, in many cases the newspapers will consider you competition and not let you run your advertisement.
There are other mediums to use for recruiting salespeople, but local newspaper classifieds have
always produced quick and fast results.
In some areas http://Craigslist.org and http://kijiji.com get you a good response with free advertising.
There is a company that is a very very good resource for getting ads in newspapers
and magazines easily and less expensively, Wolf Enterprises. Their website looks
a bit hokey but they have been in the ad business since way before the internet.
To see their offers go to: http://wolfenterprises.net/
Here are some classifieds to use, you may create your own also. Please note that
the ID used in the ads is the one of your sponsor. You will want to use YOUR OWN ID
that you create at the bottom of this website.

Here is a list of Frequently Asked Questions by store owners, also referred to as FAQ.

Question: How do I add a purchase from my customer onto RetailBucks.com?

Question: Do I have to enter one purchase at a time onto RetailBucks.com?
Answer: While entering one at a time is the easiest to do, if you do not want to enter the customer's purchase each time they make a sale, you can simply write down their email address and the
amount of purchase, and then daily, weekly, or as often as you like, you can type them into a text file and import them all at the same time.

Question: If I decide not to add one purchase at a time from my customers but instead do an upload of many purchase at a time, how do I do that?
Answer:
Log into RetailBucks.com and click on "Optional Advanced CSV or Text Upload." You will then see a button to upload a text file that you have typed the email address and purchase amount into. Further instructions are provided on the upload page.

Question: What if I don't have a computer or internet at my store?
Answer: You can write down your customer's
email address and amount of purchase and enter it later at home on your computer, either one at a time or in a batch upload. You can also keep
a print out of customer's balance of Retail Bucks by your check out register to verify if a customer wants to redeem their Retail Bucks.
If so you would write down their email address and the amount they redeemed and enter it later at home on your computer.

Question: What if my customer does not have a computer or internet?
Answer: Your customer can simply ask you for the balance of their Retail Bucks.

Question: What happens if I accidently add the wrong amount of a purchase from my customer?
Answer: Log into RetailBucks.com and click on "Add purchase from your customers" then look
for your customer and click on the picture of the cash register to the right that says "Enter New Purchase." After that add the amount of the sale you need to deduct and click "Deduct Sale Amount."

Question: What happens if I accidently add the wrong amount of Retail Bucks I redeemed for my customer?
Answer: Log into RetailBucks.com and click on "Redeem Retail Bucks" then look

Question: Can a customer add themselves to Retail Bucks?
Answer: Yes they can. They can simply go to RetailBucks.com and click on "Customer Register" at the top right of the website.

Question: How do my customers refer their friends to my store?
Answer: When your customer logs into RetailBucks.com they click on "Refer friends to a retail store" then click
on your store name, then submit their friend's information. The friend will receive an email from the name of the person referring them with
a description of your store that you have provided. The friend can then choose to follow the link in the email to RetailBucks.com and create their
own account.

Question: Am I responsible for redeeming Retail Bucks from other stores?
Answer: No, you do not redeem Retail Bucks for other businesses. Naturally customers can only redeem their Retail Bucks at the store for which they earned them.
Retail Bucks earned at your store can only be redeemed at your store.

Question: If I own more than one store do I need more than one Retail Bucks account?
Answer: That depends on what you want to do with
redeeming your customer's Retail Bucks. If you want customers to earn Retail Bucks at any of your stores, and then spend their Retail Bucks at any of your
stores, then you only want one account. However, if you only want them to spend Retail Bucks at the store they earned them, then you would need a different account for each store.

Question: Do I have to calculate how much customers have earned in Retail Bucks?
Answer: No. All you do is enter the amount of their purchase
onto the RetailBucks.com website. Our program will automatically calculate how much they have earned in Retail Bucks and in addition, will calculate how much the person that referred them to your
store has earned in Retail Bucks. When you redeem their Retail Bucks it will automatically deduct it from their balance.

Question: How much does it cost me to give Retail Bucks to my customers?
Answer: You are in complete control of what your costs will be.
Retail Bucks are calculated by a percentage of purchases your customer makes. For example, if you allow 5% of your customer's purchases to go back
to them in Retail Bucks, this means after they spend $500.00 in your store they will have earned $25.00 in Retail Bucks. They can only
spend that $25.00 worth of Retail Bucks in your store for your goods or services. They do not get cash back. If your goods and services
cost you 50% of what you sell them for, that means when they spend the $25.00 it actually costs you $12.50 for the goods or services they took.

Question: Can I control how much in Retail Bucks my customers must first earn before they can redeem them?
Answer: Yes.
Log into RetailBucks.com and click on "Edit and view store owner options" look for the box that says "Minimum Amount to Redeem Retail Bucks"
then enter the amount you wish, and finally click on "Update Your Store Information" at the bottom.

Question: Do I have to allow customers to earn Retail Bucks by referring other customers?
Answer: Sort of. All
customers have the option of referring friends, but it is up to you what they earn from their friend's purchases. You could choose
0% but that would be confusing to your customers. I recommend you at least allow 1%. (You could even make it less than 1%).

Question: If no one refers a customer does anyone get paid Retail Bucks for referring them?
Answer: No. If someone goes to RetailBucks.com and clicks on "Customer Register" at the top right of the website without
previously being referred by someone else no one will be credited Retail Bucks for referring them. Also, if you register a
customer yourself, and no one has previously referred them, no one will be credited Retail Bucks for referring them.

Question: If someone is already a Retail Bucks member and then adds my store but no one refers them to my store, does anyone get paid Retail Bucks for referring them?
Answer: No. If someone
is already a Retail Bucks customer for another store, even if they were referred by someone to that other store,
and then they choose your store from the internal list of Retail Bucks store participants,
no one will be credited Retail Bucks for referring them.

Question: How long is my free trial?
Answer: Your free trial lasts 30 days.

Question: What happens to my account after my free trial expires?
Answer: After 30 days your account will be converted back to
a regular customer's account but all settings for your store account will be saved for another 30 days. After the final 30 days, (total of 60 days
from the beginning of your free trial), your store settings will be purged and you will have only a customer's account.

Question: Is this really a free trial or is it free and then you will charge me automatically after 30 days?
Answer:
Yes it really is free. We are not asking for a credit card, checking account, or any information that would let us charge you in any way.

Question: If I take the free trial and then decide not to purchase, do I have to contact someone to cancel?
Answer: No, simply let the trial run out.
If you do not want your store to show on the available stores accepting Retail Bucks simply delete the information for you store under "Edit and view store owner options."

Question: If I decide to purchase after my free trial do you see my credit card number?
Answer: No. We use Alertpay.com which is
a 3rd party processor. You can pay with your credit card, or you can transfer funds from a checking account. The payment goes
directly to AlertPay.com and then AlertPay.com pays us. We do not have any ownership or control over Alertpay.com and they are processors
for many thousands of companies around the world.

Question: If I decide to purchase after my free trial what currencies do you accept?
Answer: We use Alertpay.com which is
a 3rd party processor and they accept any currency worldwide.

Question: How do I know how many days of my free trial are left?
Answer: Log into RetailBucks.com and you will see a red notice that tells you how many days are left which is also a link to allow you to purchase at anytime.

Question: How do I get my password and log in information when I start my free trial?
Answer: You may choose your password and email address when you register. These are what you will use to log in at RetailBucks.com

Question: What currencies can be accepted from my customers on Retail Bucks?

log into RetailBucks.com and click on "Edit and view store owner options" look for the box that says "What currency do you want your store to display" and choose your currency.

Question: What countries can store owners participate with Retail Bucks?
Answer: All countries worldwide may participate with Retail Bucks.

Question: Does Retail Bucks send customers to my store?
Answer: The main idea of Retail Bucks is
for you to get all your current customers involved so they will become more loyal and more frequent shoppers for your store.
You would gain new customers because of your current customers referring their friends to your store to earn Retail Bucks.
It is possible also that you may gain new customers by being listed on our internal list of Retail Bucks store participants.

Question: Can customers find my store via Retail Bucks?
Answer: All customers registered for all stores
world wide inside Retail Bucks can find your store on our internal list of Retail Bucks store participants. They may then
choose to add your store to their list to shop from or refer friends to.

Question: Does it do me any good to have customers that are not close to me geographically to see my store on the internal list of Retail Bucks store participants?
Answer:
It might. Perhaps they are planning on visiting your area and are looking for all stores in your town that accept Retail Bucks. Or perhaps they have a friend in your
town and they want to refer them to your store. Or perhaps you do mail order and will allow them to use Retail Bucks that way.
